Trend Alert The Embroidery Tattoo is Popping Up Everywhere

Permanent Body Art and Aesthetic Appeal

Almost everyone has some experience of permanent body art. Many people choose to get tattoos for a variety of reasons, whether personal or just for fun. The aesthetic appeal of body art is that we can express ourselves however we want to in a way that is unique to us. No matter what your interests or culture is, permanent body tattooing is the best way to showcase your pride and personal taste in a way that will stick with you forever. Even if it’s your first time getting a tattoo, rest assured that there are many resources available to you that can help walk you through the process professionally and safely. You can feel good about getting the tattoo you want in the easiest way possible.

What is an Embroidery Tattoo?

If you’re looking for something outside of the traditional tattoo world, there are plenty of new trends that can capitalize on your need for newness and something different. One of these is embroidery tattooing, which is a type of art style that clearly mimics traditional embroidery that is sewn onto cloth objects. An embroidery tattoo is best accomplished by someone with deliberate knowledge of the art practice, as it tends to be incredibly detailed and difficult to do without prior knowledge and experience. Due to this, you should be diligent in finding someone who isn’t just doing it because it’s a new trend, but because they do have actual experience in creating beautiful designs. Embroidery Tattoo

Choosing the Right Tattoo Artist for Your Tattoo

Finding a tattoo artist can be a difficult process, especially if you have never done it before. Luckily, there are plenty of resources available for you to look at. Most tattoo artists keep a portfolio available, either online or an in-person look book so that you can check out the work that they have done in the past. When it comes to embroidery tattoos, there are plenty of artists that have a knack for it, you just have to find them and pick the perfect one to do your design. The most important thing to remember is that you feel comfortable with the shop and artist that plans on designing your tattoo. Ask questions before booking an appointment so that you’re aware of the process and anything you should do beforehand to prepare.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your first meeting with your artist should be an in-person consultation where you ask questions and design your tattoo. Your tattoo artist may sketch out the design that you’re thinking of and place it against the area of skin you’re going to place the tattoo on. This can be helpful in visualizing the way your tattoo will look, and you can make any changes that you need to in order to get it just right. Be sure to ask questions about how long the tattoo will take as well as any colour choices that you may prefer. Otherwise, trust your artist to provide you with the best care during the application process, and sit back and relax.

Managing any Potential Pain

Even if you’ve gotten a tattoo before, location is everything when it comes to pain. There is a general level of pain scale that artists use when talking about the types of pain associated with tattooing, and consensus tends to agree with this. Some of the more painful and uncomfortable places to get tattooed include the trunk, anywhere near or on tendons such as the wrist and neck, and thinner area of skin in general. If you are worried about pain, talk with your artist about what to expect based on the area where you’ll be getting your tattoo. In any case, you can elect to break up the tattooing process between multiple appointments, but keep in mind that this can both prolong the healing process as well as inconvenience you for time, so try to see just how much pain you are willing to deal with in order to get your design done perfectly the first time around.

The First Few Days

Your tattoo will be very red and sore for the first few days and weeks after getting your tattoo, and depending on the size, it can be more painful for a longer period of time. If you are getting a small tattoo, you can expect to have a shorter healing period as long as you are taking care of things properly. Thankfully, most people are pretty diligent in keeping their tattoos clean, and if you are following the advice of your artist, you’ll have an even better chance at stemming any infections as well as shortening the healing time before you can really enjoy your new art. There isn’t much to worry about during the healing process as long as you are monitoring the way that the tattoo site looks and are diligent about keeping it clean. Luckily, there are a number of different ways that you can ensure that things are where they should be throughout your healing period.

Keeping Your Tattoo Clean

Cleaning a tattoo is simple, but there are a few things to keep in mind so that you don’t unnecessarily irritate the area, which can further prolong healing time. During the first few days after getting your tattoo, you should refrain from getting it wet so that the newly wounded skin doesn’t soften and become irritated. This also can be a harbour for bacteria.
  • After the first few days, gently rinse the area with a bar of antibacterial soap and warm water, and pat, don’t rub, the area dry.
  • Wear strong, high-level spf sunscreen if you have to expose your tattoo to the sun for longer periods of time, as sunburns can cause serious problems with long term healing.
  • Don’t use lotions or exfoliants on the area where you got your tattoo for a minimum of a few weeks so that the skin has time to heal.
Chemicals that you expose your tattoo to can cause issues with the healing process, so watch what you put on your skin shortly after your first appointment. The last thing you want is to have good intentions to rid the area of bacteria and instead cause a major infection that takes a long time to heal.

Watching Out for Infection

Infection can happen at any time during the healing process, but is more likely to occur during the first few weeks after initial application. When you get a tattoo, you are essentially creating a wounded area that is ripe for potential bacterial infection. Infection typically presents with extreme pain and redness. However, excessive itchiness and scaling or scabbing that doesn’t seem to go away after a while can be another symptom of impending issues. Keep an eye out and be sure to talk with your artist or personal doctor about any abnormal changes that you so. Prevention is obviously the best medicine, but sometimes things do happen that are out of our control. Monitor the area for the first few weeks and follow any instructions that your artist gives you about taking care of the area. By doing this, you’ll be able to enjoy your new body art for many years to come.
