What to expect

The Process

1

Getting a Tattoo for the first time

Getting a tattoo for the first time can be a scary and confusing process if you don’t know what you’re doing.

You must have a lot of questions and there’s a lot you need to know such as — how your skin tone will reflect certain colours, how much it costs and will people like it?

At Chronic Ink Tattoos, we offer free consultations with people getting a tattoo in Toronto so that you can learn everything you need to know about getting your 1st tattoo

2

Consultation

Come in and speak with us about your idea. There should be no pressure while getting a tattoo for the first time. We want to help you feel comfortable about getting inked before talking about the design. Then we’ll help you brainstorm and flesh out the piece — work out the placement, subjects, sizing, detail, and most importantly, how you would like to feel when you finally see the piece on your skin.

This is important because we need to understand your vision to ensure that we can turn it into beautiful art. Drop by our Toronto tattoo studio to get a better idea of how we can help you, but don’t stop there. You must have found a number of studios that you liked during your research, go talk with them about the rest of your questions and let them know how you want to feel when you finally have your tattoo.

3

The right design

Now that you’ve decided you want a tattoo and understand the process, how do you actually design a tattoo? Do you have to draw one yourself or find one in a magazine? When you’re deciding
on a design, the best solution is to look at plenty of studios and designs.

Keep researching until you see a pattern in what you do and don’t like. We’ll work with you to figure out the best tattoo design for you. We also offer custom sketching services from our studio in Toronto to put your ideas on paper and help you visualize your tattoo design.

4

Custom design for your tattoo

We pride ourselves on being the best custom tattoo studio in Toronto. So most of the time we will put out a drawn from scratch sketch for our clients so they can see first-hand what their piece will end up looking like.

The most important factor in choosing your design is being able to see realized versions of it before you get the tattoo done.

5

Getting tattooed

You know how it’s done, you have your design in hand, but what now? How do you go about actually getting a tattoo? Choosing your tattoo artist and getting the tattoo done is the last and most important step in getting a tattoo.

At the Chronic Ink Tattoo studio, located in Toronto, we have a number of experienced tattoo artists to choose from so you can have the best experience possible when getting your tattoo.

6

Aftercare

Finally, there’s the application of the tattoo; the process of actually getting your tattoo put onto your skin. At Chronic Ink Tattoo, we guarantee our tattoos – which means we will touch up our work free of charge to ensure nothing is lost during the healing process.

Speaking of the healing process, the aftercare of your tattoo is just as important as getting the tattoo inked in the first place. We’ll let you know about all of the steps you’ll have to take to protect your tattoo so your tattoo will always look the way it’s supposed to.

Where should I place my tattoo?

Do you want to see it all the time? Do you want others to see it? Does your design require a flat surface? Are you going to add to it over time?

These are just some questions we'll be asking you when you come in for your consultation. We will work with you to help you refine your idea, select an artist, and help you pick the perfect spot on your body.

How much do tattoos cost?

Good tattoos aren't cheap and you don't want to be cheap with your body. Tattoo cover ups are not always possible and Tattoo Removal can be very costly so you want to do it right.

Tell us your idea and we can give you an estimate on how long your tattoo will take and how much your custom tattoo will cost. Come into one of our studio locations for a walk-in tattoo consultation and we can work through the process with you.

Cover Up Tattoos

Here at Chronic Ink, we love to create amazing
body art that helps people express their personalities. However, every so often, an individual’s passion and preferences may change and they come to us with an existing tattoo that they aren’t so crazy about
anymore.

In these cases, we normally start discussing the possibility of a tattoo cover-up. There are a lot of questions that come with getting a cover-up and
we want to make you feel comfortable with the whole process. For this reason, we’ve organized some of the most common questions further below.
